I went from an easy, hurried, low-maintenance facial cleaning ritual to trying out the Asian 10 step skincare routine. Being raised in New York City has damaged and polluted my skin; I'm now repairing and focusing on anti-aging.
I want to buy and use products from a broad number of brands, I didn't just want to stick with one brand, I shopped around and compared all. I will try to write reviews each month, one which will be a list my skincare routine products, sharing my experiences on each product.
Tatcha VIOLET-C RADIANCE MASK
I had high expectations for this product, but I was let down. It is just a luxurious wash off mask for a weekend spa day. This product does claim that it has AHA which help with exfoliating and dullness. The mask is very smooth and it doesn't dry out on the face. My face didn't look radiant or any different than before a single use. I suggest using it 5 or 6 times in a row to see some result but who am I kidding, I have a full-time 12 hour shift job which allows me to do these 30 minute mask on my days off. I know one thing for sure is that I will not throw away the jar after I'm done. The packaging is so beautiful!

I received this in exchange for my Sephora points and I loved this deluxe sample. I would repurchase this again if it was on sale because I am currently going through many masks. I love this spa-like feeling when applying on my face but I don't see any difference in radiance afterwards. I don't think that the brand fresh should've used the word, "rescue" in its product, more like soothing. Anyway, I used it up during the winter time and enjoyed it.

I brought this product from Whole Foods during its beauty sale off of recommendation from gothamista on youtube plus my skin needed a mask for autumn. My skin was having a temper tantrum with me. It has vitamin C, pumpkin, honey and glycolic acid. The first time I used it, my skin tingled, so I was thinking, ok maybe it's the acids and I'm new to it. So the first couple times I would leave it on for a few minutes and wash it off right away, and then the next couple of days I used a thinner layer. I don't see any difference in my skin but I do feel better after using it, so maybe the enzymes are "repairing" my skin.
GlamGlow PowerCleanse
I picked this over the others on the line because of it's dual usage and the green color of the package. One side is the mud mask and the other side is oil cleansing. It's a pump that it's very easy to press once you continue to use it over time. The oil cleansing portion is good for my dry sensitive skin, but this product doesn't have a "WOW" factor so I wouldn't repurchase it.
