I brought it for a year to try it out. 

1. Mediheal Parrafin Foot Mask - will be giving this away because I'm not a fan of foot mask.
2. TonyMoly Pureness - not a fan of these masks, but it does its job
3. No:hJ Soothing Mask Pack - Snail (red one) - perfect for sensitive skin. I have avoided snail ingredients as long as possible, but since this is in a sheet mask from one of my favorite brands-why not. I had this sheet mask on for a hour and it was still pretty moisturizing.
4. No:hj Aqua Soothing Hyaluorinc Acid Mask (green one) - perfect for these hot and humid days in NYC. Especially this Memorial Day weekend when the sun was blazing hot.
5. Aritaum Hyaluronic Acid Fresh Essence Mask - will skip because of the alcohol scent from the other Aritaum sheet mask that I tried.
6. Aritaum Fresh Powder Pearl Mask - I was looking forward to this brand, but I felted alcohol when I had the mask on my face so it prevented me from opening the Aritaum Hyaluronic Acid one. However, my skin did feel and looked brighten afterwards.
7. Scinic Hyaluronic Acid Essence Mask - saw alcohol as one of the main ingredients so skipped this one and the next one.

9. MyBeautyDiary - Red Wine Mask - I was looking forward to this mask because I didn't want to buy the whole box when I was in Taiwan. After trying it, it smelled like Dimetapp the entire time on my face-definitely a pass. Lucky, I didn't buy the entire box in Taiwan.

Why so slow this month?
Because NYC was hit with Blizzard Jonas.
It was the second biggest snow storm in NYC history.
And usually the USPS takes time.

This theme was perfect for this month because this winter weather is drying up my skin which needed a lot of moisturizing.

• Freeset Donkey Milk Skin Gel Mask Pack - Aqua - Gel skins are an upgrade from the regular cotton mask, but I think I prefer cotton ones. This had a cooling sensation once I placed it on my face bit stinging to my skin. Will not be re-purchasing, because it dries fast after 10 minutes but the other side is very moisturizing. I don't want to waste it so I rub it all over my body. I think donkey's milk ingredients doesn't fit my sensitive skin well.

• Mediheal Mogongtox Soda Bubble Sheet - most excited about this one! I had a "before" and "after 10 minutes on my face" picture. It does clean your pores very well, but you have to wash your face afterwards.  I guess I am lazy and rather not wash my face again after cleanser. You can feel the bubbling sensation, reminds me of baking soda haha. Alcohol is in this product.

• SNP Animal Otter Aqua Mask - moisturizes and cute (best for guys who don't wanna feel girly because they are using "face masks"). At first I didn't think much about this mask because it dried fast. But the next morning, I still felt the moisture left from the mask on my face. I really did not want to wash my face, ha. Afterwards I think I used it on the wrong side because the prints wear darker on one side.

• TonyMoly Pureness 100 - Hyaluronic Acid - hydrates well and tones down inflammation - I will be saving this for summertime because I love these Tony Moly Pureness 100.

 

Hanaka Camellia and Hyaluronic Acid - hydrates and moistures

Hanaka Marine Mud and Seaweed Mask - I brought a whole pack of these when I was in Taiwan. I love these, they are full of essence and leaves your skin looking brighten and clean.

Scinic My Juicy Bottle Mask - Firming and alot of essence

Baviphat Juicy Mask - Strawberry (oil production - perfect for summer)

Baviphat Juicy Mask - Green Tea firms, moisturizes (perfect for winter) - nothing special about this sheet mask when I tried it.

Overall, I'm glad about this month's mask maven. The bubble sheet was nice but now I know that that particular sheet mask is not for me.

The December theme for the Mask Maven bag is Beauteque's Bit of Everything - A Very Indulgent Variety!
Thank you for a mix of masks. I was getting a bit tired of the all about one theme every month.

1. SNP Animal Mask Tiger - Anti-Wrinkle - just a mask that helps with anti-wrinkles but didn't do much for me but animal masks are good mini gifts for guys who you want to give something skincare related to. But it has alcohol which my sensitive skin does not like.
2. Mediheal Dress Code Mask - Violet - another moisturizing yet floral scent. This was my first "lace-like" eye mask. It's cute to try this brand but also venture out for more.
   
   
   
   
3. Holika Holika Baby Silk Hand Mask - I swear, I hate hand mask so I will be giving it away to my sister. I know people who love it but my own preference is that I do not like them because my hands won't absorb that much essence and I feel like my hands are suffocating.
4. Scinic My Juicy Bottle Mask Aqua Ampoule Juice - very moisturizing and alot of essence. The essence either absorbed quickly in my skin or it dried up fast.
5. Urban Dollkiss 3-Go Mask Sheet - Hyaluronic Acid - I always wanted to try these, these are so moisturizing! You can smell a bit of the familiar scent of something that includes hyaluronic acid when you open the mask. The sheet mask is sorta transparent-I tend to favor transparent mask sheets over the white cotton ones.
   
   
   
   
6. My Beauty Diary Imperial Bird's Nest Mask - I wanted to try these when I was in Taiwan, but I didn't want to buy a whole box. Glad that Beautque had this because I need as many wrinkle and fine lines reducing masks as possible. One complaint I have with the 'My Beauty Diary' brand is that the sheet mask is a bit small.
7. Dr. Morita Mask - another snail mask for my mom or sister.
   
   
   
   
8. TonyMoly I'm Real Lemon Mask - for brightening - I love these mask sheets because they are hydrating with essence and they work well for my combination skin. No need to explain why everyone loves them.
9. TonyMoly I'm Real Rice Mask - for brightening - OMG, I love this mask, after 30 minutes of this mask, it was still full of essence and when I took it off, my face was so radiant!!! 

Overall, I am satisfied with this month's mask maven. It had moisturizing, brightening and anti-aging masks. Thank you mask maven for ending this year with a great bag.

The October theme for the Mask Maven bag is Beauteque's Brunch-A Dining-Out Delight!

Food in skincare mask sheets!

Got an email to preview the first 3 items on September 20, the 4th on on October 15. In the past if I walk into a mask store or order mask online, I always avoid picking product that have advertised food in them, so this month will be a challenge-I'm up to it. I have only tried the Nature Republic's Acai Berry because it helps with Anti-Aging so let's see how this month mask sheets excel or fail on my skin.

The Results:

• Botanical farm green tea mask - This is a new brand to me. I was happy about the choice of Green Tea given to me because my skin is prone to inflammation. But the smell of denatured alcohol hit my nose hard when using it.
• Mediheal A Mask-Cocoa ADE - My first thought - Cocoa? Not sure how it will do on my skin. I don't think I will need more hydration for my combination skin so I will give this to me sister.  

• Esfolio Egg Essence Mask - I have tried the pearl and volcanic version from the Esfolio brand. No complaints for this egg one. It doesn't smell like eggs so don't worry. 
• Rainbow L'Affairs - 3-step mask always makes me think it's spa-like and takes too much time. This mask is good for a weekend relax time.

 

• Skin9 super puppy whitening pack 
• Skin 9 Panda Honey Elasticity Pack 

These animal masks aren't only cute but moisturizing and helps with anti-aging if you used it in the long run.  

• Skinfood everyday Facial Yogurt Mask- alot of essence and very moisturizing. Nothing to do with yogurt-good. The thickness of the mask sheet is like a thick toilet paper. This is the thickness that I have seen in all sheet mask.
• Skinfood beauty in a jar tangerine - one word--hydrated. But I only lasted 10 minutes with it on before drying out. It has alot of the tangerine smell.
• Beauty Friends II - just an everyday name brand, I have used about 5 types under this label. Not the greatest or the worst out there. 

 

Overall, I'm quite disappointed with this month. I feel like there was a couple mask sheets coming from the same brand and the mask weren't very strong. But it was nice to see a few new brands this month.
